               A neverending story - 22.04.2024 - 26.04.2024

The UCLL Faculty of Social Work Leuven and the Businet Health&Social Matters working group invites you at UCLL UAS in Leuven for the Busiskills BIP linked to the main topic

"Human Rights & social professionals” (22-26.04.2024).

Human rights are considered as fundamental for social professionals.  Social work is defined as a 'human rights profession' since social professionals are front-line workers who are on a daily base confronted with violations of human rights that affect the human dignity and social justice of vulnerable citizens.

Subtopics will be the right on Identity, free access to public space, justice for all, non-violent environment, accessibility of social services at neighbourhood level, healthy work-life balance.

We can receive about 30 international students,   working together in international teams on the subtopics. To make it even more international, a team of Ecuadorian students and lectures from the Doble Vía project will join and a second BIP will be organized at the same time for partners from the Socnet network.

Dates:

22^th till 26^th of April 2024  - rooms reserved from Sunday til Friday (Hostal)

3 preparatory virtual meetings in Febrary-March

Event venue: UCLL Campus SSH (sociale school Heverlee), a bit outside of the city center, easy access by bus, car or bike from the Youth Hostal and the central station

Students: BIP founded or zero grant students, (unless authorized separatly  by the organiser)

Provided by UCLL: Some meals, field visits, some social and cultural activities.

Personal Cost: transportation, stay in the Youth Hostal Blauwpu

For Lecturers:  Organized on Staf Mobility Grant for Training or Teaching. Some meals and excursions will be offered.

Workshop or lecture? If you are interested in giving a lecture or workshop, just indicate in the enrolment form which topic you want to tackle.

Horizon Europe - Pillar III: how to write decent proposals (this will be given by an external speaker).

The do's and don'ts will be discussed and where to find the most important info for the call of interest.

The online seminar starts at 14h CET.

The Spring Workshops are an opportunity for working groups to promote the activities of their working group, for members to join and find out more about how they can contribute to activities, how staff and students of their institutions can benefit from participation in the working group.  For members of staff from member institutions to learn more about Businet and network with other member institutes. It is also an opportunity for members of the working groups to meet and to continue working on the themes and activities which came out of the Working Group Meetings in Warsaw and look ahead to the plans for the year and the next conference in Istanbul.
