Do you think that FinTech, blockchain, cryptoassets, NFTs, smart contracts, decentralized finance are just buzzwords? The purpose of the week is to demonstrate that leveraging the blockchain technology may give birth to new value propositions, new forms of organization and collective decision-making and new business models. The program is a combination of in-person training in Paris and 1 session of online training (TBA). After creating your own team with students coming from several European institutions (Belgium, Netherlands, Lithuania, Czech Republic, Italy), imagine a new business venture based on the blockchain technology and participate to a business competition. The programme is 100% English, multidisciplinary (business, computer science, communication, etc.) and open to undergraduate and graduate students.

Picture this: Company A, Company B, and the Nigerian government walk into a bar... just kidding, they’re actually negotiating a high-stakes joint venture. The mission? To create a swanky international business complex in Nigeria that’s part logistics hub, part office paradise, and part conference wonderland. This place will be the ultimate hotspot for global trade and investment. Here’s the twist: Company A has the golden ticket (a.k.a. the solution) and is ready to sell it to Company B, who’s got the deep pockets to fund this grand venture. The Nigerian government is ready to ink the deal with Company B, but only after getting a nod from Company A, who’s got some serious sway with the powers that be. In short, it’s a three-way dance where everyone’s got a role to play, and the endgame is a business complex that’ll put Nigeria on the international trade map. Let the negotiations begin.   

Duration: 2 on-line sessions (weeks of 7 and 14 October) previous to a full week of exchange on campus (from October the 21th till October the 25th). 

The field trip will act as an Introduction to the unique seismic topography of Iceland giving participants an opportunity to experience the current volcanic activity taking place across Iceland.

The participants will stay in shared accommodation within Keflavik, which is less than 5km from the International airport. 

There will be adequate free time to allow the participants to explore Reykjavik if they wish

In recent years, global trade and cross-border transactions have increased steadily.  This trend has also resulted in a surge in international commercial disputes.  The International Chamber of Commerce, for example, has reported a record number of cases before its International Court of Arbitration in recent years.  These developments illustrate the growing reliance on international arbitration and ADR as the preferred method for resolving cross border disputes. Over the project dates explore the local area to discover how Industrial Heritage can be used to give life to failing communities. Staying at the historic Carronvale House in shared accommodation you will have the chance to experience Scottish hospitality at its best with a very different taste of Scotland on your night of arrival and a closing meal on the final night all included in the price. Free time will be available to allow students to explore further afield if the wish. All travel related, to the project will be included, however you must get to and from Carronvale House.

This project will involve an element of group work and final presentations from the participating groups.

Our annual design thinking workshop will enable you to turn your ideas into an original business case and present it to your peers and mentors. This year’s projects, aimed at brushing up your entrepreneurial spirit, will be framed within the general topic of “Green & Digital: Human Footprints!”.

Task description: Develop a sustainable startup idea that addresses both environmental impact (green footprint) and digital presence (digital footprint). The goal is to create a business venture that not only minimizes its ecological footprint but also leverages technology responsibility.

Organised as an Erasmus+ BIP, the program will have students working in international teams under the guidance of mentors. The program involves two online sessions (early November, dates TBA) and a week-long stay at PAR University of Applied Sciences from November 18th to 23rd 2024. Students can arrive on Monday the 18th as the program starts with an introductory session in late afternoon hours. Final presentations are given on Friday the 22nd. Saturday the 23rd is considered the departure day.

This unique program gives you an experience like no other as you look behind the scenes of the multi billion euro industry. Participants will be  taken through the manufacturing process all the way to distribution.

On your first evening you will get an opportunity to try traditional Scottish food and experience why whisky is adored the world over. With a very different traditional Scottish meal, from what you may expect, as our Closing Dinner on our final evening.

Staying in shared accommodation within the idyllic setting of Carronvale House participants will have ample free time to explore further afield if they wish.

This project was oversubscribed in 2023, so we would advise booking early as places are limited.

The project starts at 2pm on the Monday and concludes around 2pm on the Thursday. All transport for the duration of the project will be included.

The goal of this week is to retrofit a pedal car to run on battery and control it thanks to your smartphone. Our main focus is to provide you with hands-on experience of building up a running web app and kart within the time frame of one week. Therefore, theoretical explanations will be kept to a minimum to let you practice, discuss and experiment as much as possible: this is your project.      

This project will provide you with a sneak peek into several key aspects of electromechanics and automation: from 3D printing your own gears to controlling your motor and servomotor thanks to Bluetooth communication.

We are also working with SAMK (Pori) to make this international week a 2-weeks program where you can continue to work on your kart during a second week at Pori. The goal of this second week is to make the karts semi-autonomous. We strongly encourage students to apply to both week to enhance their experience and discover even more of the EU. 

Students will visit the company, get a nego mater class and work together to negotiate on behalf of a Breton food producer, trying to list their product in Waitrose, the UK high end supermarket.

The objective of the week is to develop and present a company innovative and creative concepts related to Circular Economy. For starters, you do not need to know what Circular Economy concepts are. Thanks to experts and visit of CE companies within Brussels area, you will be able to develop, innovate and co-create great ideas that could be implemented into a company's business.

This week will be the opportunity to meet other students and have fun in a cross-cultural environment while being able to reflect on better business actions for our planet and changing from linear economy approach.

A keynote speaker on Sports Marketing introduces students to sports management and marketing. In teams of 4-5, students will solve a specific challenge.

Last day: competitive pitch in front of a jury.

In this course, students from different areas of training are expected to discuss issues related to Wellbeing@work, working collaboratively to promote learning, making contributions of an interdisciplinary and intercultural scope in addressing the specific theme.

Wellbeing@work is the generic approach, and the specific themes of each project group are:

1.     Mental Health @work (2 groups)

2.      Sports as a well-being tool @ work (2 groups)

3.      Gen Z  & Well-being @ Work (2 groups)

4.     'Green' working places & Well-being (2 groups)

5.      Mobile Devices Use & Well-being @work (2 groups)

The course runs online from 12 March 2025 to 30 March 2025, using Microsoft Teams, and the physical mobility takes place in Namur (Belgium) from Monday 31 March 2025 to Friday 4 April 2025.
Participants should arrive in Namur on Sunday 30 March and leave on Saturday 5 April 2025.

The students will:

·       Develop professional skills via an international project focused on the well-being of individuals and   
groups within their working environment (interprofessional skills, soft skills, communication skills, organization skills, self-management skills, etc.).

·       Develop International competences (ICOMs):

o   Intercultural competences

o   Language competences

o   Global engagement

o   Personal growth

o   International Disciplinary Learning

·       Develop foreign language skills and knowledge on a specific professional topic

·       Develop multilingual vocabulary lists.

Using the historic Carronvale House as a base you will have a chance to meet with organisers of a successful two day music festival and see the idyllic setting for the event at the foot of Linlithgow Palace. You will thereafter work in groups and visit two other local venues where concerts can be held before making a final presentation on your own proposed event. 
On the evening of arrival there will be a very different taste of the country whilst on the final night there will be a more traditional closing meal. There will be free time for participants to explore further afield if they so choose. All transport will be provided for the project activities, however, students must make their own way to and from Carronvale House, Larbert.

The main goal of the week is to let students collaborate in mixed international groups on topics related to the SDGs.

They are acting as entrepreneurs developing a business model aiming at solving some sustainable development issues. They are challenged to think and communicate in English and will pitch their solution at the end of the week. 

Guest lectures, workshops, teamwork, coaching sessions, socio-cultural activities, and discovery of Brussels are spread throughout the week.

This project allows students studying either science, technology, engineering and mathematics to work within an international setting to explore tidal power and ground source heat pump technology in a practical setting. The groups will look to gather data and report on their eventual findings on the last day of the project.

Staying in shared accommodation within the idyllic Carronvale House, Larbert participants will have ample free time to explore further afield if they wish. There will be welcome evening taste of Scotland on arrival and also a closing meal on the final evening. Participants have to make their way to and from Carronvale House, however any transport required for the project activities will be included.

Paris Project - Communications Group - Staff and student mobility, 31/03/25 - 04/04/25

The Communications group gathers teaching staff, programme managers, and international relations coordinators. Together, they work collectively on the development of a common annual project aligned to supporting teaching staff mobility and enhancement of student work-based learning experiences. The aims of the group are to facilitate:

·         Teaching staff mobility

·         Collaboration between teachers, students, and live clients

·         Promoting multidisciplinary and cooperative learning experiences

·         Working with live client briefs to promote work-based learning

·         Developing cross-cultural learning

·         Research surrounding project themes and outcomes

·         Promote student collaboration in an international arena

Group members work cooperatively in developing and participating a yearly staff and student project organised by a selected host institution appointed during the annual Businet conference. Projects promote collaboration transcending borders, cultures, and subject disciplines. Participating staff mentor small student groups to support the creation of a communications strategy for an existing business sourced by the host institution as a live client project. Projects require students to compete in mixed multidisciplinary teams consisting of students from varying countries to promote cross-cultural learning and a sense of competition. Projects enhance opportunity for the development of broad business, marketing, and creative skills to resolve the communications challenge set by the client.

For this Louvain-la-Neuve located International Marketing week, students will have to adapt a marketing plan to fit a local brewery's new challenges.

This week will be the opportunity to meet other students and have fun in a cross-cultural environment while discovering the wonderful Belgian beer world.

This week will be a mix of problem solving case in order to develop the cooperation, creativity and flexibility of students within an international environment. Student will also visit local brewery and enjoy beer tastings. Social activities and a visit of European capital, Brussels, will also be foreseen in order to develop the intercultural understanding and the beer discovery.  The week will be a mix of conferences, working session coached by professional with a final presentation and prize ceremony. If you are interested to discover Belgian beer know-how in a student city, this week is for you ! 

More than ever, it’s important to drive your business, keeping the eyes on key figures in a dashboard… just as you do it to drive your car. The recent Corona crisis forced companies to rebuild their business and to reorganize it, transforming the threats into opportunities. If you haven’t a solid management system, it can be more difficult to keep up. 

During the week, we will focus on KPIs (Key performance indicators) : Why is it so important to have a good dashboard ?  Examples of relevant KPIs – testimonials of companies. Drive your own virtual business in teams and try to perform and maximize your own KPIs in a competitive environment.

• A visit of Choco Story (Chocolate museum in Brussels) and the town center of Brussels  
• A business game during which you will in team drive a company that produces and sells leisure boats 

As part of the management team, run your own virtual company, The Fresh Connection, a manufacturer of fruit juices. Faced with declining performance, your team must get the company back on track by taking the best sales and supply chain operation decisions. You will have fun competing against other teams to generate the best Return on investment (ROI).
