🚀 News from the working group Communication:

8/6/2026

Dear colleagues,

I hope you are all well.

On behalf of the Businet Communications Group, I am getting in touch to ask whether any partner institution might be interested in hosting a Businet student project/BIP sometime during March, April, or May 2027.

We are looking for an institution that would be willing to host a short international project bringing together students and staff from Businet member institutions, ideally built around a live client challenge. As with previous projects, the aim would be to give students a practical, collaborative, and intercultural experience, with the opportunity to work on a real communication, marketing, branding, social media, or related business challenge.

The most recent example was the VIKO project, Applying AI in Social Media and Communication, which included a live challenge from Grand Hotel Vilnius, Curio Collection by Hilton. Students were asked to develop an AI-supported communication strategy, campaign concept, target groups, personalized service offers, visuals/mock-ups, and a short pitch presentation.

The exact theme for 2027 would be open for discussion and could be shaped around the host institution’s strengths, local context, and available client links.

We are hoping to identify possible hosts in advance so that the project idea can be discussed further at the Businet Conference in Malta in November.

At this stage, this is simply an expression of interest, so there is no need for a fully developed proposal yet. It would just be useful to know whether your institution might be interested in exploring the possibility of hosting.

If you would like to express interest, or if you would like to have an informal conversation about what hosting might involve, please contact me at: richard.hall@newdur.ac.uk

Many thanks, and I look forward to hearing from anyone who may be interested.

Best wishes,

Richard Hall
