🚀 Exciting News: The 3rd Businet International Startup Competition is coming to Malta!

We are thrilled to announce that the 3rd edition of our International Startup Competition officially has a home! The Malta Leadership Institute (MLI) has graciously stepped in as our host.

📅 When & Where?

Dates: 8–12 November 2026

Location: Malta

Bonus: Same week as the Businet Annual Conference!

💡 Who can participate?

Each Businet member institution is invited to register one or two students or startups. Participants can be at different stages of their entrepreneurial journey:

1. The Validated Idea Phase
2. The Revenue Phase (already generating sales)

🤝 Confirmed Participants & Priority Registration

We are happy to confirm that the following partners have already secured their participation:

• Milwaukee, Isla Gaia, Hogeschool Rotterdam, UCLL, Dania, Aydin Istanbul, Avans, Fontys, and Thomas More.

Based on discussions during our working group meeting at the annual conference in Sofia, the following schools now have the first opportunity to claim the remaining 6-8 spots:

• DOBA, Ephec, Hogent, PXL, SSM, Windesheim, RIGA, Den Haag, Gea College Slovenia, AP, InHolland, and Seamk Finland.

🏁 How to Secure Your Spot

To take part in the 3rd Businet International Startup Competition, please follow these steps:

1. Initial Confirmation
   Send a direct message to Paul Bartels to confirm your intention to participate.
2. Formal Agreement
   After confirmation with Paul, finalise the agreement with Jesmond Friggieri at the Malta Leadership Institute

3. Student Registration
   MLI is currently developing a dedicated registration website for students. No student names are required at this stage; participant details will only be needed by September 2026.
4. Community & Updates
   Once confirmed, your institution will be added to a dedicated Basecamp group, which will be used to share all practical information, updates, and next steps.
