An update on the Third Way Project

The Third Way Project progress report

The Third Way project, in which Businet is a partner, was developed as a result of discussions held at the Businet Conference in Vilamoura in 2017. The project is an Erasmus Plus KA2 project with Businet partners from Belgium, Czech Republic, Netherlands, together with partners from Germany, Cyprus, Portugal and Spain. It was developed to improve communication and knowledge sharing between the vocational and higher education sector and social enterprises (The so-called Third Sector). The project has the primary aim to create innovative and accessible learning programmes that support understanding and awareness of social enterprise. At the heart of the project proposal is the development of a new curriculum pathway for students from business subjects wishing to become social entrepreneurs and/ or create or work within social enterprises.

As the end of year one of the project approaches an evaluation of the project to date is being undertaken. When that is complete, and an assessment of where we are has been made, we will share this via the Third Way website ( 8 Moocs are currently being developed and
further information of the MOOC’s will be shared. There will also be news of forthcoming Bootcamps developed to test the MOOC’s.
