22nd Businet Conference - Palas Atenea, Palma City

12 - 15 November 2008

The 2008 Conference of the Businet network was held in Palma de Majorca. The Conference opened on Wednesday 12 November and closed with the Gala Dinner on Friday 14 November. There was a traditional social programme, on Saturday 15 November.

The theme of the Conference was “Current Issues in European Higher Education”. This title will provide a vehicle that allows for any contemporary issues and debates that are important to us to be explored. Please feel free to submit any suggestions you may have.

The Board spent considerable time discussing the feedback received from last year’s event. As a result the structure of the Conference was modified slightly, placing more emphasis on showcasing examples of good practice, using some of the time allocated for working group activities.

It was also our intention to promote the working groups by their curriculum area, dropping the HED prefix on Conference documentation. The idea behind this is that it makes the subject focus of the groups more understandable to new members and first time delegates.
